What is white footed rabbit rat?

The white-footed rabbit rat is a small, nocturnal rodent found in Southeast Asia. It is also known as the treeshrew rat or the Sunda treeshrew rat.

These animals have a distinctive appearance, with long, slender bodies and large, rounded ears. Their fur is grayish-brown on the back and sides, with white belly and feet.

They are primarily arboreal, spending most of their time in trees and bushes. They are also excellent climbers, using their long tail as a balancing aid.

White-footed rabbit rats are omnivorous, feeding on a variety of insects, fruits, and other plant material. They have a unique adaptation in their digestive system, which allows them to extract nutrients from the hard exoskeletons of insects.

These animals are not commonly kept as pets, and little is known about their behavior in captivity. They are not considered endangered, but their populations are threatened by deforestation and habitat loss.
